connect using VNC to a Gnu/Linux Server Print E-mail
This is an easy way to connect to remote servers from your windows desktop

Just see if the vncserver package is installed on your Gnu/Linux machine and use any VNC client from your machine.

Start the VNC server by

$ vncserver

More ever you can edit the

/home/<username>/.vnc/Xstartup file to start kde at your end

For example I can replace the last line in Xstartup file

twm &

to

startkde &

and this will start the KDE desktop manger when I connect from the VNC client.
